From the moment Mike & Sophie first reached out about their Two Woods Estate wedding, I knew it was going to be something special. This breathtaking woodland venue, nestled in the heart of Pulborough, West Sussex, feels like stepping into another world—one where time slows, everyday noise fades, and nature takes over. The towering redwoods, standing like silent guardians, created the perfect backdrop for a ceremony that felt intimate, serene, and almost otherworldly. A wedding for true outdoor lovers.
As a photographer, it was a dream. The sheer scale and beauty of the woodland offered endless creative possibilities—light filtering through the trees at golden hour, winding forest paths leading to hidden, storybook-like clearings, and the contrast of elegant wedding attire against the raw, untamed landscape. Every turn presented a new frame, every moment a chance to capture something timeless. From the ceremony beneath the trees to the quiet, intimate portraits of Mike & Sophie wandering through the forest, it was the kind of wedding that reminds you why storytelling through wedding photography is so powerful.
The Bridal Suite
The morning of a wedding is always infused with adrenaline as a photographer. There’s a mix of excitement and anticipation—how will everyone be feeling? How will the guests react in front of the camera? What kind of setting will the bridal suite provide for those all-important morning shots?
At The Two Woods Estate, the morning did not disappoint. The Stylist Loft is a beautifully bright and airy space that immediately sets the tone—calm, inviting, and effortlessly elegant. With its stunning mix of upcycled, vintage, and bespoke furniture, every corner is a scene waiting to be captured. The natural light floods in, creating the perfect setting for those intimate, candid moments—the final touches of makeup, the laughter between bridesmaids, the quiet reflection before the ceremony.
THE WEDDING FOOD.
It would have been rude not to mention the wedding food—because honestly, the images say it all.
As you make your way back from the ceremony towards the Barn, you’re immediately met with the rich, smoky aroma of wood-fired BBQ. The outdoor dining area, framed by rustic wooden beams and glowing lanterns, sets the perfect atmosphere for a feast to remember.
On the menu? A mouthwatering spread featuring fillet of beef cooked to perfection, whole sides of salmon delicately smoked over open flames, and the most incredible selection of charred seasonal vegetables and sides. A true showcase of fire and flavour.
